WRI is advancing bioremediation to clean up drilling mud, tank bottoms, contaminated soils and aquifers associated with oil production and refining activities, as well as gasoline additives (MTBE), explosives (RDX), and chlorinated solvents (PCE, TCE). In a process called Biogenic Methane Enhancement, WRI is using microbes to stimulate the formation of methane from organic-rich sources such as oil sludge and petroleum-contaminated soils.
WRI’s Contained Recovery of Oily Waste (CROW™) process is an in-situ technology for the remediation of subsurface soil contamination such as coal tar, creosote, and petroleum products. Our TaBoRR® process was developed to remediate tank bottoms and other oil production wastes. Both of these processes recover hydrocarbons for sale or reuse.
Advanced chemical oxidation offers effective in-situ remediation of MTBE and other petroleum contaminants in water and wastewater.
The Diesel Dog® Soil Test Kit introduces a fast, easy and economical method for identifying fuel contamination in soils.
