Plastics - Wet/Dry

In recent years there is renewed interest in incorporating waste plastics into asphalt pavement. There are two main ways to incorporate various plastics. They are the wet (dispersed in the binder) and dry (added as a component of the mixture) processes. WRI has been working on commercial, as well as federal projects, to understand asphalt performance for various types of plastics for both the wet and dry processes. The lessons learned from these projects, combined with internal R&D in this area, puts WRI in a unique position to offer practitioners important plastic incorporation development related services.
