For over 100 years, Western Research Institute has been involved in cutting edge research in the field of chemistry.
Initially focused on energy (oil, coal…), the Institute has also developed skills covering advanced carbon-based materials for longer lasting roads and roofs (add link to AIRC page), non-energetic applications of fossil resources to find new ways to valorize oil and coal (add link to Advanced Carbon Materials page), environmental research on waste management and circular economy (add link to Waste Re-engineering Initiative (Circular Economy) in RenuMAT page), and we are just starting to be involved in critical minerals recovery.
