Board Members Honored With Title Director Emeritus
At the September quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors, they recognized two long-term members of the Board by honoring them with the title of Director Emeritus.
Board Chairman Myron Allen shared this sentiment that reflects the consensus of the Board members: “WRI is fortunate to have board members who, despite serving as volunteers, demonstrate such tremendous commitment to the institute. Ron Benson and Bill Gern are giants among board members, and it has been a privilege to work with them.”
Mr. Ron Benson has decided to end his service in December 2021. He has contributed two decades of distinguished service to Western Research Institute, as a member of the Board of Directors and as a source of valuable perspective, wisdom, and business expertise.
Dr. William Gern retired as a member of the Board of Directors in 2017. He devoted 23 years of distinguished service to Western Research Institute, as a member of the Board of Directors, as chairman of the board, and as a source of valuable perspective, wise leadership, and scientific expertise.
